Scooter916
Hey guys, I just received a ZOO! headset and the lower cup spins butter smooth, however the top cup feels notchy, like the bearings were crushed at the factory during installation.I bought the Headset from Biketrialseller.com and as I have heard it is not worth the hassle of having him warranty parts. I was wondering If it is possible to remove the dust cover to access the sealed bearing and replace it?thanks guys
Ali C
a lot of zoo headsets are like this, you will not notice it once fitted and it will become smoother with use. If you do want a bearing, then Tarty sell them.
Scooter916
but it feels dramatically different form the bottom cup. any tips on getting the press fit dust shield off to access the bearing? should I just use a flat blade screw driver and tap it out? Ali C
yeah, hammer and screwdriver, the most universal tool ever! Its still pretty "normal" for zoo headsets to be like that, if it was me I would try it first before spending more money.
