Jan Tore
Hi. So, I've stripped the 4bolt mount threads on my frame, so it's basically useless at the moment.I'm sitting at a Pure 09 frame, but the top tube is off by some millimetres on the centre. Will this affect it's rideability?

Jan Tore
Jubilee clips? tap to m6? helicoil?haha sounds brilliant....pictures? if the whole frames skewed sideways surely it'll crab slightlyCan barely see it.Jubilee clip might do the job, but that looks just gay. Could tap to m6, think I'll do that.
Alex Dark
Can barely see it. Use it thenJubilee clip might do the job, but that looks just gay. They work fine Could tap to m6, think I'll do that. Bear in mind its annoying having to drill clamps (and booster)

Brisa
Hi there,I work in the workshop of CRC and we send back a lot of frames that are not welded quite straight. This shouldn't usually affect the ride of the frame as the defects are usually very small and barely noticable.
Mikee
Helicoiling would be better.

Jan Tore
TruthClearly it would. But sending my frame to Tarty from Norway, isn't free. Also, a helicoil kit would cost me more than £100.And noone seems to have heard of helicoiling here in Norway..

The ship building industry i know is big out there, and helicoils are often used in marine applications.

Muel
Mine cost about £15 posted I think. Don't bother tapping the frame to m6, it makes life a pain in the arse if you want to run a booster, or sell it again.
