terry26rims
I don't get to ride often and i use kona gloves with tryall foam grips. When i go for a hard ride i end up after around 3 hours with aching fingers and sore thumbs, is there any thing i can do to prevent this or treat quickly after. Or do i just hit it hard again as soon as they are healed and repeat till hands are durable for the task in hand?

terry26rims
do you wear gloves still? I know riders that don't and the way my hands feel right now i wouldn't even consider riding without them.
Jake Beach
I use trialtech foams and no gloves, my hands seem to be fine.
Mr Bob
Use gloves for rubber. If i were you dont wear them with the foams unless your fingers are freezing
Duncy H
Yeh there aint much point using gloves with foams unless you hands are cold. If you have the wrong size gloves they can cause blisters, best way is to just keep on riding though until you get used to it.
dannytrialskid
Yeah, with foam grips you do not need gloves, as said above unless your hands are cold. When I had rubber grips on my old bike; even with gloves I got blisters. They are really annoying. eep803
You could always try this Sorry, couldnt resist. I'd be suprised if you didnt have sore hands after 3 hours of riding, I can barely open the door of my van after a long sesh. Man through it, you'll eventually get hard patches of skin which chicks dig, or is that scars?
hdmackay
That used to happen to me. My hands would be really really sore, but I just bit the bullet and kept riding. Now they never get sore. They've gotten used to it and are like... hard/ dry as fook. Lol. Don't look nice but atleast I don't get sore hands anymore. txt2007
I know from enduro riding when i ran soft compound grips i ripped my hands open but then i switched to a hard compound and it's been allright since. Something to do with the rubbing that soft compounds allow.

tmusson
I had some kona gloves and found them to be very thin. In the space of a month they ended up thread bare on the palms. I now have troylees, which have lasted over a year so far!
