Scott Gibbs
has anyone used shimano SLX or XT disc brakes on their bikes? I recently rode a friends XC bike with SLXs on it and thought they would be good for trials aswell.

eep803
I've got old M525 Deores on my trail bike, had em years, changed pads a few times, top performance with zero maintenance. Would I trials em, never had a rear disc on a trials bike but I dont think they quite have the power/bite.

Try it, should be quite good in my opinion. I wanna try out the saints, they have some beasty power.
Matt Vandart
I had shimano brakes once they were XT or XTR or something, from a specialised stumpjumper, they were awesone.
