Tarred Rims Vs Rain

Hey all, Does anyone know of any tips or tricks to prevent brake slipping when wet if you have tarred rims?

My brakes find it humerous to slip at the most inapropriate moments and it's not very entertaining to be honest.

I've tarred my rims nicely and haven't grinded them if that helps.

Would i need to grind instead or as well? Or are there any other ways to stop this?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Tar does not an will not work in the wet. End of. Only options are not riding in the wet, harsh grind, different pads or change to disc brakes!

Fair play, I was considering going disc but have been told that they just arent good enough. Is this true or is it just personal preference? If not are there any you would recommend?
