Nyczek
Yes, but i have got urban rim... so it's not durability for more than month.I used it with tar too.Break is good in normal ride like i said but on stones or drops it stops hold rim.Don't have air in system, have koxx XTP. It's stiff so i don't use break booster. My break system :Echo TR lever ( quite new )Standard hoseMagura cylinders, one of them can work better. I don't know, I thinking that booster is not nessesery because lever is stiff. Edited December 20, 2009 by Nyczek
LukasMcNeal
Use an 05 with a 4 finger lever and you get ALOT more leverage!
sstein
If everything is set up right and you are using decent pads on a grind then you should have no problems. Try some different pads (phat pad or rock blues have worked well for me) and make sure everything is set up right.
willdudeXD
get a booster too! :
onza rider..
the best brake setup out there is probs 05 maggy with 4 finger leaver water bleed and some old coust or the oringal coust or tnn lgm pads with a nice sharp grind, or if you are that botherd you could also use a monty hose splitter hope that help hoby
Ali C
vee brakes are the most powerful, but have the least bite. What do you want all that bite for? think about all the times your depending on the brake, when is power the most important? Stopping the bike forwards when going on the back wheel? Or when going backwards when landing gaps, taps, hooks, and just about every other move out there? vee brakes have the most holding power, power when you need it most. Filo
i agree with ali c.ive used vee's and magura.the vee's hold heaps better.i run mine so the lever pulls in more.after the levers moved past the pivot point i feel that they lock,i think thats why they hold well. i like the bite of the magura's they also have a nice hold. if you want maximum bite i say new style magura's,4 finger lever, tnn clamps/booster combo and tnn lgm pads with a fine to medium grind.i cant believe how much bite they have, its insane. ogre
vee brakes are great! they perform fairly well even with the standard pads they come with
robotrhys
I would go for echo rear brake with plazmatic, koxx browns or heatsink pads and a grind. Win, win, win. Please vote for me to become full member, thanks!

You may want to try cleaning your rim or new pads. Even with a frame you think is rigid a booster may help and is always worth a try.
