Couple of my freinds have done it and it doesnt only look amazing its saves quite abit of weight also. They both did it with an angle grinder and came out perfect. If you've already got all lightweight parts and you're looking to shed that last 10g then yes I can see the point, otherwise I wouldn't bother, you can save a lot more just by changing parts and modding them.
