Getting Bite On Magura

I've completly trued my wheel and set up my Magura again, but it seems to have lost the lever feel and the bite. I have the hold but I'm able to easily pull the lever almost to the bars. I've undone the TPA and set them up and that didn't make a difference. What can I do to get more bite? I'm using Rockman Greens on a smooth rim and I got the brake new and bled about a month ago.

Thanks

Re-bleed it with magura rotay blood, or wait till the christmas ride and I'll bring a hench syringe and my mixture of anti-freeze and water. :) x

yeah, the best way might just be to rebleed it! I maae a 50% water and 50% anti-freeze mixture and rebled my brake with it: I have the best lever feel ever!

Bam. That's it right there. You've lost bite because your pads were bedded in as they were set up before, now you've set them up they'll need time to bed in again. As for the pull, just bbbbbleed it. :)

I know a couple of people that had rockman greens on smooth rims and both of them said that they were rubbish. One of my friends has V!Z HS33 pads (the £15.66 ones not spanish fly) and they have the best hold ever!

Strangely, those are the same pads (apart from the colour, of course, which does make a little difference to performance but not a lot, especially on a smooth rim).

As above, it's because the pads aren't set up perfectly any more - plus, you've probably got ming from your hands on the rim. Give it a good clean and let it bed in again (Y)
