Mission Prodigy Trials.
Hello, I have decided to set up a poll to see what Grip style is more popular, I though about this when having a discussion with a friend, I said I like rubber grips more than Foam and he likes foam grips more than Rubber. So now I am wondering what other members prefer. Edited December 20, 2009 by Mission Prodigy Trials.
Revolver
K, well, you got the poll type right.Rubber, foam ones squish too much. Edited December 20, 2009 by Revolver
Stevie
I rode with rubber grips on all my bikes, even before trials and since i started to use trial tech foams i would never use any other grips again lol.I find rubber grips rip your hands to pieces, foam are so friendly

Stevie
I agree that Foam grips are more comfortable but Rubber grips sometimes last longer and have more grip when compared to Foam grips.I've had my foams on for 6 months, still got plenty left on them and are still pretty spongey. Dr.scratchensniff
I've currently got rubber grips on my bike but 2 guys I'm out riding with regularly have foams. Their grips feel soooo much nicer and as soon as I clear a chunk of my credit card bill I'll be changing. They just aren't as harsh on your hands... that NBR dude
I tend to find foam grips and the tape to be too thin, and can't get a comfortable grip on the bar.I've always found rubber grips more comfortable.

DannyBazz (:
Racing bike grips, the wrap around ones are the only grips I use, after having my hands shredded by rubber, and foam being too thin and wripping. And gathering sweat, which isn't nice.

trialsmax04
ive used rubbers for a while. Like them alot, but changed to foams (trial tech) and hated them for like the first week. They where just too thick for me. Now i love them. Got a set for my new bike but dont know weather to use them, or try some roadie tape. Guest
This is exactly the poll I need to be seeing I think to find which is the best type of Grip, you need to really decide what is the most important factor.

Skilled trials
The most comphy grips i have used are 100% silicone from ESIGRIPS. They are really comfy and dont wear out. Bad points is the price of £15.99 and if you get 1 tear in them they tear all the way down as they are under alot of stress when put onto bars. Overwise always used rubbers. Ali C
the usual methods seem to work for me...spray paint, hair spray ecthow old are your grips? some of the old ones were fractionally oversized and were a bit of a bitch to stick.
