J Trials 31
But from what I've seen Obama actually has a brain... And the other bloke had Sarah Palin as his deputy- biggest mistake ever? I think so.To be honest there's no way I'd live in the States and to be honest I'm going to try my best not to visit at all... You'll be glad to hear!!Anyway, you're right. Happy Christmas to everyone and enjoy Hogmanay/New Year or whatever you guys celebrate! No, I don't have anything against you, your probably an alright bloke, it's just we don't agree politically.
Jason222
Come live here for a while and maybe you'll see we are nothing like what your crappy media says about us.I live plenty close to the US and I think they're portrayed accordingly in the media. OTN shows what Americans are like quite well too.
chimpanzyyyy
You say that but the way US Presidents are elected is pretty gay if you ask me. There is nothing to do with what the 'party' believes in or what they're going to do for the country and all about spending the most money in a pathetic popularity contest. It makes me cringe so much when I see all those morons whooping and cheering for someone they've probably been paid to cheer for. Plus if you think about it, Bush was elected in even though he's a total moron. That means that the majority of those who voted picked him. Making the majority of voters retards. That just wouldn't happen in the UK. In fact he'd never get near the head of the party because someone would step in and tell them there's no chance they'd ever be elected in so maybe they should find a different career...Not sure what you're getting at with the Blair comment but Tony Blair was a well educated, well spoken guy who you could believe kinda knew what he was talking about and what was going on. I don't think Bush could add 7 and 5 together unless he was wearing sandals.fair enough they are all retarduk is so much better, plenty of smart people...they all know bunch of things about politicsbush is the biggest failure ever, I ve seen it in so much good tv shows, it should be true then

Gilman
I love all the stereotypes that are in this thread. Just because you saw something on television or read something on the internet doesn't make it so.The idiiots in the world get the most attention because it is entertaining. Then they get labeled as the majority, when that is not the case.Pretty much everyone in real life outside the TV or internet is normal and not a jerk off as seen on TV.If you live close to the US or don't visit the US, then you can't give a fair judgement. All you know is what you see on the internet or TV.I go on OTN but I am not labeled as "one of those" So .... Unless I am?If I said that everyone in the UK or Canada was stupid because of a few actions by one or two people on the internet, would that be fair. Judging everyone on the actions of the minority is not right nor does it make you a smart person. Not trying to call anyone out but you just have to have all the facts before you say some of the things that are being said.Merry christmas!! Just as a select few American idiots make you all appear to be stupid, we have a select few (idiots) who make it appear that all Brits think all Americans are stupid, which isn't true. afrobot
Good to see this still going. Someone earlier was throwing the socialist/fascist/totalitarian talking point around, in regards to our current president. I'd like to comment as best I can. Fascism is characterized in part by authoritarian nationalism, and a corporatist economic system. Socialism on the other hand favors a system of public and worker ownership. These terms are not interchangeable. When you do so it makes you appear very misinformed. There are aspects of corporatist rule in both our current and former administrations. This is due largely to rulings on the 14th amendment granting "person-hood" to corporations. As an unintended result of the 14th amendment to our constitution which granted citizenship to slaves, 288 of the 307 cases brought before the court between 1890-1910 were by corporations seeking more rights, 19 were by african americans. These rulings were largely to blame for the problems with corporate/union influence in the current political system. This is not the doing of Obama. As much as our right wing collective bitches about "Obamacare","death panels" Takin' our guns, and his big black iron fist of FASCISM, you forgot about the last 8 years. The euphemistically named "Patriot Act" originally allowed police to round up guns from registered owners in case of marshall law. Ponder that. Of the nations with the highest quality of life, longest life expectancies, and best health. All have socialized medicine. Terrified your taxes are going to go up to pay for it? Consider your health insurance bill a tax, because it is. As for "Death panels", insurance companies ARE death panels. They decide whether it is cost effective to cancel YOU or not. Remember, this is a for profit business and the shareholders demand returns. Let that comfort you that when you are down with a curable cancer they don't want to pay for. Corporations have rights too. They are defined as "persons" Of the many functions of government, keeping corporations in cheque is a vital one. What's left of our democracy, is to keep the government in cheque, and out of the pocket of big business. It's easy to point fingers at Bush, Pelosi, Obama,Reed, etc. They are all beholden to their masters, some more than others. It's much more difficult to point fingers at an abstract concept, after all most of us only have ten fingers. Big Government Vs. Big Business is not a choice, it's a necessity. One out of balance with the other results in tyranny. Imagine small business and small government, and bigger people. I've been sick for two months with some mysterious condition and have ridden once. I've had too much time too get pissed about healthcare costs, and the people who shall remain un-named. JT!
Is Observedtrials going to be back online at some moment, or has it completely disappeared?Seems like the admin don't have a great deal of time on their hands as they have real jobs and whatnot, just like the admin here, so they don't really have free time to get the forum back up and running quickly. I'm sure it'll be back up eventually though.

Even if you have been indoctrinated with superior canadian socialist mind control. One of the smartest students at my university was a high school dropout. Formal education is not always a good measure of knowledge or intelligence. Canada for the win! Edit:I just had an odd thought. This sorta ties in the politics of health care and trials. When you compare the number of 'good' riders in the US to the rest of the world, the US fares very poorly. What if this is due to Americans being afraid to hurt themselves and rack up medical bills? Maybe not all go out thinking this way, but I'm sure it has some kind of influence. I know this is definitely something I don't worry about when I ride. All the best riders of the world come out of places with free health care! Edited December 27, 2009 by Jason222

If I fall off my bike and break my leg, it'll be fixed and i'll be stuck with a bill that no one can make me pay and won't effect my credit score.
