3dd
Also, just noticed the half link in that chain, it is also stiff, I think. I snapped one of those too... And what are those snail cams, they have a lot of adjustment - customized? I can see you had some troubles setting up your clamps/brake. I have that too on my stinger, especially with no washer clamps..., is that the only way out - half link? Or the ratio 17:14 would solve it, or some other one... Rusevelt
risky chainlength......and you could have sorted out that stiff half link eh stan....why do you always have bodged as f*ck bikes Your not wrong there, the wheel axle is virtually right at the end of the dropouts we've gotta assume that the gear ratio is 18-16. Sweet rig
Daniel Gray
Bearing in mind he's a sponsored rider, it makes sense for his sponsors for him to be riding the newest frames they make. As a result, even though Stan's last frame is still fine and totally rideable, he's been sorted out with the Orange Sky frame.Adam says that in the last 2 years, Stan's only had about 4 frames or so. His Hydroxx from last summer, and 2 Ozonys that lasted over a year between them.fair mark.

Axle has as much contact with the dropouts as it would 'normally' I think...
ben_travis
Or Continental Risky chain length? Axle has as much contact with the dropouts as it would 'normally' I think...possibly put more stress on the dropouts at that position though? i dont know. i was just more wanting to slag stans set up, due to the fact mine is such a bodge in comparison at the moment lol
Mark W
If the axle being about 3-4mm further back was enough to cause any issue with the frame, there'd be some kinda maaaaajor design flaw...But yeah, longest bike building time eeeeever. Stan Shaw
Nowt wrong with my chain length at all, or where its positioned in the dropout. Like Ads says, i am still getting the same contact. I ran it like this on my Droxx for ages.

Scooter916
I love the clean lines of using the line splitter. are there any manufacturers of those out there? I have been thinking of making one myself at my families CNC machine shop.
Liamlikesonza
I ride mods but that looks nice! That splitter thing on the maggy is mint never seen one before, does it improve the brake? (not that maggys need improving)Liam

Alex Dark
Looking fit. A bit of a noob question but what grinding disc have you used for the grind? As it will be a Tarty grind...and Tarty recommend a stone cutting disc.. I'd say that
nickdonboy
As it will be a Tarty grind...and Tarty recommend a stone cutting disc.. I'd say that Yeah but I just bought a stone cutting disc, played about with the angles and pressure but still can't get it to look like that or as harsh as that anyway. Leistonbmx
Press harder? It's not gonna look exactly the same
nickdonboy
yeah I've kinda experimented with the pressures. Whats a thick grinding disc like?
Alex Dark
yeah I've kinda experimented with the pressures. Whats a thick grinding disc like? You want a nice thin disc. Maybe try and bed the disc in on some granite? Apart from that...probably your technique dude,,,
AdamR28
Yeah but I just bought a stone cutting disc, played about with the angles and pressure but still can't get it to look like that or as harsh as that anyway. A harsh grind doesn't mean a good grind. That one on Stan's bike is pretty poor, the first grind on a new rim never seems to come out well. http://tartybikes.co.uk/media.php?group=guides&id=
