Ullapool Trials Rider
Tonight (December 13th) my friend gave me his Echo pads. At first they were slipping like hell. Then we put some Monty Brake Spray on the pads and my rim and i've left it to dry for the night. Am I going to have S*** brakes in the morning. josh barker
try some tar instead of spray or a sharp grind Edited December 13, 2009 by josh barker
LiamWood!
Got OneHe has one. Make sure they are set up perfectly square to the rim, also make sure you have a good bleed in your magura.Ive found monty brake spray to be pritty poor, id just use a dab of tar everynow and agian. ginger allen echo
Use tar! they are really good on a smooth rim. They work better on the front though.
josh barker
They work better on the front though.hows that?? would it stop them to being any better in the back, i dont think so
ginger allen echo
It's my oppion, when i used them on the back they weren't very good. When I put them in the front they are the best pads I've used

DannyBazz (:
hows that?? would it stop them to being any better in the back, i dont think soErm yes? In my experience they're better on the front than they are on the rear.Set them up well, good bleed etc, and they'll work orite.
Ullapool Trials Rider
They are starting to work pretty good now. I think they just needed time to settle in.
LukasMcNeal
They'll probably be pretty awful in the wet so I'd get a grind just to be safe.
