laurent
Hi evreyone!I'm thinking about buying Echo TR clamps due to weight and improvement of stiffness. But i'm wondering about the safty of these clamps.Indeed , these clamps doesn't work with washers and the inside of the clamps is completely slick. My fear is, if the bolts become loose, the cylinder can slips. I assume it can be dangerous if it happens during i'm riding. So my question is to Echo TR clamps' users: did it ever happen to one of you? Is my fear justified or not? Thanks. Borat
These clamps are legit! The don't slip or anything.Keep the bolts done up tight, not tighter than you would with ordinary clamps.
ISO2
It would be no different if you had the plastic or metal washer. I've been thinking of getting a set my self

laurent
Umm...In what way is it different? For example there is a differcne between the tray cnc ones and the echo. The try all have "slots" (sorry don't know if it's the relevant word) and th echo Tr are completely slick, that's why i assume in this case the cylinder can slip if the bolts become a bit loose. skinny paul
The clamps are good, you will have no probs, i stripped a thread on one of the bolts and it held up fine with one bolt and one not so tight Edited December 11, 2009 by skinny paul
that NBR dude
Having just bought a set of these yesterday, they are really nice. I swear, swear and swear when I'm setting up maguras, but these were such a piece of cake to set up.I wouldn't use any other mounts now.
