Lar
Snapped my chain at weekend and got meself a new one to wrap around my cogs there, what's your opinions on whether using a snap link is best or just connect the chain back together using a chain tool? Cheers

Dale-Hill
Used both and to be honest both seem same to me all depends on the chain IMO.
duncan_echo26
I have used them before and the chain has snapped at another link.I think it is probably just as likely to snap at a split link as it is at any other link.
hdmackay
I always run a split link. They are soo useful.I quite often need to split my chain to be honest and if I didn't have a split link i'd have spent ages fannying around with chain tools and stuff. And I've never had expierences snapping one either. Lar
hmmm i've always used snap links before and not snapped one (it was a different link that snapped this time) but the fact i don't actually have a snap link at the moment makes me inclined just to put it back together and go for a ride! dave33
be careful when you rejoin a broken chain, as its snapped there is a good chance that other plates are ready to snapas for the joining links my khe chain is joined with one, just so i could make it shorter and its fine so far(touches some wood)
