Matt Vandart
My grips keep spinning all the time when they are wetThey are these ones.Grippythe grips are fab but worn smooth.so I just ordered some more and whilst reading the blurb noticed that I shouldn't use hairspray etc to fit them.I have always used GT85 to fit grips and it has never been a problem, but as it says I shouldn't I wanna put them on using air.My question is How? Shaun H
I sometimes warm new grips up to get them on if they're being particularly difficult.Whenever I've used hairspray it's never really worked well, gunna see if I can get hold of some spray mount at work and maybe try some Trialtech foams. Mission Prodigy Trials.
Hey, I'v got the Chorrillas Grips' on my Gu and I am wondering how long did they take to wear down .?
3001978
SHAUN,Washing up-liquid, Isoproply or hairspray are usual tools for this job. They all work because they all dry or evaporate. Therefore initialy they make the grip slide on with ease they then dry / evaporate causing the grip to stay put. I have used all three and tend to prefer Isopropyl saves me smelling like a big girls blouse.Just spray the bar and inside of the grip with your 'lubricant' of choice slide the grip on, make yourselve a cup of tea and hey presto one solid grip. (N.B Washing up liquid takes longer to dry - leave overnight)REGARDSCALLUM (03001978)

3001978
For those blessed with an air line kicking around, yes I agree works a treat, for the less fortunate I have found the other options can work effectively.REGARDSCW Edited December 7, 2009 by 3001978

Stevie
If you dont have any plans on getting them off again use carpet adhesive, i did and i don't think i'm ever getting my grips back without out cutting them up, no chance of them slipping.
