Sprog!
can you build a 32 hole hub onto a 36 hole rim, or the other way round and if you can, how? like what pattern
Dr.scratchensniff
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say no...
bikeperson45
I think you can, but takes a while to get the right spoke pattern. Google it.
Hannah Shucksmith
If I'm right (which I'm probably not) you can do it with radial lacing. I think you miss out every 4 holes and I think you need different spoke lengths.
hdmackay
Yes, you can do it. Two of my mates have done it however, your wheel will be seriously egged. But it will work.

aener
I did it.It's not too bad. Choose your spokes wisely though, else some might be too long, and others too short. If you go through with it, miss your spokes out like the one on the left, NOT the right:
duncan_echo26
Yes, you can do it. Two of my mates have done it however, your wheel will be seriously egged. But it will work. I am one of those people It did work but I wouldn't recommend it as something permanent, but it is ok just for a bit.I needed to use slightly longer spokes at some parts because some of them will have further to go to reach the rim. When I did it it was a 32 hole rim and 36 whole hub, I wouldn't try it with a 36 hole rim on a 32 hole hub though because I think it would make it quite weak if it was missing spokes.Mine was quite egged when I did it but it was true. *Koxx hydroxx 2 Jack *
manufactuers make a 32 hold rim and a 32 hole huband a 36 hole hub and a 36 hole rim .dont try and come up with a solution to a problem that dosent exist , just do it the correct way and your wheel will be stronger and easier to built . ScottTrials
I built my old pro2 wheel this way, it had no egg and no buckle. I was well chuffed with myself concidering I've only built 6 wheels and 3 of them were egg'd and buckled to f**k. So yes it does work but if your going to build a wheel which your going to use fora while, just build it properly. No point doing half a job.
