MrLongboard
So ive been on my bike for about a month now ..... stil a complete newbie to trials. Very much enjoying riding, especially natural .... wondering if at 25 i should have started sooner .... guess i'll find out soon enough!!So first of all the bike .....!!!I purchased a truely rubbish diamondback tekiya for couple hundred quid .... rode for a few days and enjoyed so decided to do a few upgrades. Now at this point i had just met and was starting to ride with a chap called Matt burge who has been riding on the british and european competition scene for about 6 years and is very very good!!.So the bike got a few upgrades and the spec is now as follows:Tekiya frameD/back forksshimano front hub and double walled rim with harsh grind.system ex stem and monty risers.Magura HS11 Evo 2 brakes, bled with water and magura red trials pads.hope pro2 bolt through rear hub laced to std double wall rear rim with harsh grind.trial tech sport forged 160mm cranks running screw on 18t front sprocket and 15t shimano DX rear cog and TMS bashring.DMR V8 pedalsDMR chain tensioner (modified)kenda tyres (soon to be changed!!)Few Pics: (sorry about the quality)Feel free to mock!!! whole bike only stands me in at around £450 so for a first bike im happily getting used to it.Also took a few poor quality vids (cameras not a strong point of mine) and i dont have any editing software so i do aplogise.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fQLiiAt48Ehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1nWK-Z2HMYSo feel free to have a giggle .... i dont post a huge amount on the forum, just enjoy browsing around, i have no illusions of being world champ, i just enjoy riding against myself. And just to finish a couple pics of matt at the last round of the bristish champs stolen from his facebook ...CheersSteve

MrLongboard
to be perfectly honest i quite like it at the mo ... i've got what i paid for with the 'frame' and to start with its fine. But i'm fully aware as i move up it will need to be changed, its to heavy and slightly to long.Ive got to learn to slow myself down and relax more when i ride, when i do i have good control of the bike but i dont visualise how i'm going to ride 'what' im riding if that makes sense.
