Alex Dark
ive tryed that (the bucket way ) it wade no sense?Tisn't that hard...undo both bleed screws. Immerse in water. Cover the lever bleed hole, depress lever fully. Now release lever, and stop covering bleed hole.Repeat up to 40 times, whilst periodically tapping the slave, MC and line to release any air bubblesRefit bleed bolts and you're good to go
duncan_echo26
If you just do exactly what is says on the tutorial it should work fine.Just make sure you keep it underwater and put the bleed bolts back in before you take the brake above the water again. Revolver
That means you're doing it wrong. Put brake in waterUndo bleed screwsCover lever hole with finger fully, leave slave hole uncoveredPress lever all the way in quickly. With the lever depressed, quickly cover the slave hole with your finger fully, and leave the lever hole uncoveredRelease the lever quicklyRepeat many times. Ben John-Hynes
If you have a syringe. Do what them lot have already said, and right before you do the bleed screws up, push a couple of syringes of water(mixed 1:3 with Anti-freeze) through the brake. It'll be the ultimate bleed and it won't freeze im this shit weather.
brad1995
Basicly. open both the bleed screws and put the brake in the bath and fill the bath with COLD water. Then get one of your mates to help you out and put your finger over the bleed hole on the lever and leave the one on the slave cylinder and give the lever a pull. Next get you mate to put his finger on the bleed hole on the slave cylinder and then you let go of the hole on the lever and then release the lever and then repeat these steps untill all bubbles stop coming out of the cylinder. Finally reinstall the bleed screws underwater to reduce the chance of getting air into the system to a minimum
