Guantanamo
the rest of the forum confuses me i like nmcthnks btw lolalso i do not have a crank extracter can i still remove itEasiest way is with a tool. They're pretty cheap and worth while because chances are you be using it more than once. Park tools are good products.

Guantanamo
can u get them iin halfords or do i need a proper bike shopWhat sort of bb you running? Halfords will probably have one for a square taper BB, not too sure about one for an isis BB. Should be able to order one in for you if not though. Got mine from the cycle surgery in Birmingham
AndyStockRider
Crank Puller Tool comes in very handy not that expensive to buybut will do some job
WIGAN
if its an isis bb it should just slide off pretty easy if not a bash with a soft mallet will do but if its square your gunna have more trouble although it will come off with a good beating its best to get a tool. The Hitcher
can u get them iin halfords or do i need a proper bike shopHalfords is fine, I brought my puller in there, its not a isis one as it goes straight through the bb rather than hitting the axel, but just pop a five pence in the hole first and it works a treat! Wasn't that expensive either. Plus I'm sure most lbs sell them.
Tom Canham
I was having trouble with my BB so my dad bought a crank puller from Halford for like £12 but it was worth it becuase ive needed to use it more than once.
ogre
only remove cranks if you have to! the splines are delicate, just get creative with a rag...
