LukasMcNeal
Spin a wheel and stop it with your finger on the hub, do this a again on the rim. It was easier on the rim right? So the bigger the rotor the better!

DannyBazz (:
Smaller rotor= less weight, less flex, less powerbigger rotor= more weight, more flex, more power. Edited November 19, 2009 by DannyBazz (:
ben_travis
you also have to remember that it is a size ratio between disc size and rim size.eg: a 20" front wheel could use a 160mm rotor, and it would work ok, however on a 26 it is likely that it would be p*sh. sometimes you can over do it though. i would say a 203 on the front wheel of a mod would suck. Mark W
I ran a 203mm BB7 on my mod, and it was fine really. It was nice in the sense that it just worked perfectly all the time 'cos it was so big it just didn't give a shit at all about getting any crap on the rotor or anything - it just worked fine! Pretty weight beast though, but at the time that didn't matter
