eskimo
I like them, I just think they look too hand made/steel, like marino frames look really thin and plain, compared to koxx/monty/deng whatever frames have something different about each one and look different to normal mtbs without seats.Triton > Marino, easy!If you look at the images on the link you will see that the welds are beautifulMine are also soo smooth. I loves my triton, so do most people that ride it Good to see that theyre still alive edit: is gaz still a member on here? Would like to ask him some questions about the frames I love yours too Here he is.

R&D
Cheers GAZZA!How and where can I order? Do you ship to South Africa? IS there a website I can research a bit on regarding these frames (Price)? ( GEO and BB Sizes etc)?Comparing these frames to the other "Popular" brands like Onza, Koxx etc, how strong are these frames compared? And associated weight?LOOKS BLOODY AMAZING! forteh
Comparing these frames to the other "Popular" brands like Onza, Koxx etc, how strong are these frames compared? And associated weight?I have the 'standard' geo deema that was produced in 2006 (I think), its 1085/385/+30-35 depending on forks/72 and fame weight with a mech hanger is 1586g. Whilst it may not be as light as the current superlight stocks I would bet alot of money on it outlasting the lot of them!!The ride is really nice, obviously light (the full build is 8.8kg) but its also quite springy although it never feels anything other than solid beneath you. It isnt the stiffest of frames but you soon get used to the flex and learn to use it to your advantage, I can make the rear tyre buzz on the frame occasionally with hard pedalling but its nothing major, If I had a bolt on king at the back it would probably solve that. We don't have a website yet as the project had been left for a long time. We will have a tiny site in December. Any geo is available, inquire yours or I can advise you some. Yes, there is an option to ship the frame to South Africa. No problem about that But it's more expensive than EU/US.The frame + shipping to South Africa will be around US$ 995 (don't know which currency is more suitable for you).My girlfriend also suggested me to barter the frame for an emerald produced in South Africa heheMost of these frames live lot longer lives than alu frames. There is a bunch on ooooold frames being used quite hardcore here in Russia. Weight depends on the geo and number of gussets used. It varies between 1550 to 1700'ish grams. Thanks again! This was the beginning of Triton. The frame looks like the end of 2005.I am so glad to see these frames still running. And I can see the development too. The welds now are a lot more neat. Nevertheless the new frames are slightly heavier due to the use of longer gussets on the down tube and stays. We significantly reduced that "rear tyre buzz" effect by using larger diameter tubing for seatstays and chainstays. So the frame is stiffer now. But that affected the weight. Thanks a lot for your post! Please share a photo of a complete bike Would be nice to see itCheers!
forteh
Thanks a lot for your post! Please share a photo of a complete bike Would be nice to see itIll have to get some updated ones done as its changed alot since the last photos, will try to get some later on tonight The rear tyre buzz is only on the seatstay brace because Im using a rubber queen and the carcass is HUGE, a 2.5" maxxis clears it fine though; the bottom yoke has more than enough room.Gazza, does the 0T4 titanium work harden over time? Inur said that his rear brake got stiffer over time and eventually didnt require a booster, Ive still got a small 2 bolt carbon booster fitted and the brake is pretty stiff. I was wondering if the increasing stiffness was a component of the material characteristics or of the frame design?

Especially when it's very cold But I don't think it's the caseCan you please measure the Rubber Queen fitted on your rim? In mm, its width and height from rim to top? If you have it already on the wheel. Thanks

Thanks Well inur was using his in poland which is considerably colder than here in the winter, could have a bearing on it Ill get some dimensions of the rubber queen later, Im using it on a dx32 though which is only 38mm wide. The width of the tyre isnt a problem though, just the height of the carcass and the seatstays.

Bionic Balls
The work hardening thing got me thinking... Work hardening involves plastic deformation, IE: at least the yield stress. Deformation in Ti involves lots of twinning (rather than dislocation motion) to get any deformation along the c-axis (HCP crystal) and I found something that says that twinning is more favourable at lower temperature, and I'm fairly sure I remember twinning being more effective at work hardening (than dislocations)..so..it seems quite possible..Geek moment over. forteh
Geek moment over.Bloody materials engineers!!!!I dont know if mine has stiffened at all, I should take the booster off and see the brake still works
