Luke Rainbird
i am a very hard rider, and like to bash the f**k out of stuffThen prepare to spend a stupid amount of money on stuff you wouldn't need otherwise
Ben John-Hynes
im not too sure how hard to kick, like a ride a mod, but have the balence point of a stockWhat? If you're going through that many freewheels(which I happen to think is bullshit) then you're only going to kill a profile/king too. Watch some vids, learn to preload, be smoother on the kick. And don't get a deng freehub, just do a TF search and you'll see why.

LukasMcNeal
Well, ive destroyed:2 x try-all Understandable!2 x tensile old ones Plausible 1 x new 60 click tensile Mine is very reliable3 x echo tr's Thats about one per month because they havent been out long!1 x eno too expensive to repair ?1 x acs laws, was a experiment though Shite anyway1 x adamant Hmmm
psycholist
Unless you crash land hard on the freewheel repeatedly I can't work out how you're breaking them that often. My ENO is running good as new after nearly 2 years use so far...
Alex Dark
i am a very hard rider, and like to bash the f**k out of stuffDunno, it had admant slapped across it, so maybe a dodgy one, felt smooth though. im not too sure how hard to kick, like a ride a mod, but have the balence point of a stockim not very good at trials but have never had good luck with fw's =[.Ill save for a profile i thinks.Unless anyone's got a deng hub there willing to sell.So you'v ignored the advice of the forum saying a deng freehub new is a VERY bad idea...so want to now buy one second hand?! craigjames
Seriously what are you doing to these freewheels?! is your chain line ok? is your chain too tight? Just can't figure out what the hell you're doing to destroy so many parts, some of which are seen to pretty damn reliable Something is very wrong here, either you're the most unlucky person when it comes to buying freewheels or something with your riding or the way you put your bike together is at fault. As for Deng free hubs, get some good dental insurance. Probably the most unreliable freehub produced specifically for the trials market.

cai
The ratchet is glued to the hub shell. I'm sure it is.Surely its screwed in on a thread, like all Hope hubs have their rachets. It can't be simply glued in, surely the glue would not even hold one kick of the drivetrain.Edit:Yea still a tad confused but ah well. Probably the most unreliable freehub produced specifically for the trials market.Chain line is a bit off looking it it today, chain is how ever i can get it with one tensioner lol, usually not too bad.Might be the way i put it together, when i screw the freewheel on, i do it by hand, then ride it tight. i use lithium grease.I would still like a deng hub as a spare for my 24" lol. As you all seem to be saying there unreliable.

Ash-Kennard
troyblah get a vid with you riding up. do not get a deng freehub, 9 1/2 stone... bollocks did you destroy all that.i personally would rebuild the eno, then learn how to preload. if you are just jumping and stamping on the pedals to gap/sidehop then you will never get as far/high as someone who preloads well. look at damon, he does a little hop, on landing crouches down, with his chain already tight then springs whilst kicking. you will soon learn you wont have to kick as hard to do the same gap.when i gap/sidehop, i barely kick at all, basically only use preloadand use the kick to send me in the right direction. been running an 06 pro 2t had zero problems.its also important to maintain your bike correctly. from the sounds of it you arent very careful in how you set up your bike. my chainline is literally perfect and tensioned well.
