crispyboy
Hello everyone i was wondering if it is possible to buy a rotor even smaller than the Try-All ones which are 155mm ?If so anyone used one ?
craigjames
think you can buy 140mm rotors, think its either formula or magura that use them....
Matt Burrows
Most companies do 140mm rear for XC racers, including Hope. You'd have to use a 160mm front caliper and it would only work if the disc mount was standard, not +20+30 ect
Alex Dark
Why would you want to? Avid do a 140mm i think.....
crispyboy
Why would you want to? Avid do a 140mm i think.....Well on the Rockman i have, the disc mount is really low into the frame so i have to run a adaptor to raise it up to standard but i think with a 140mm it might work as normal with no adaptor ?Any one recon it would work ? Mark W
Kinda depends on which caliper you're using I guess. Ads built up his Rockman on Friday and literally just bolted his caliper directly to the frame, and it's pretty much spot on. Literally the easiest disc installation I've ever seen. Not even any spacers. Amazing. In any case though, don't forget that if you do put a 140mm rotor on you'll be losing power compared to the disc you've got on now. crispyboy
Is Adam running the number 6 Hope ?What disc rotor ?
Duncy H
I use a number 3 caliper on mine. Mine also went on really easy with no spacers I believe you have the try-all brakes? That is why you have to run the caliper.I think you are better off with the rotors around the 160 size
