Duncy H
Got my new frame today and have been so pleased with it. Got one slight niggle though. I came to fitting the bashplate and the single bolt at the front on the frame there are no threads. As if they forgot or something. I tried to tap it out and make a thread but hole is not long enough to let me get the tap down to create enough threads. I thought I could drill the frame and then I could tap it but I don't think this would be a great idea being a new frame and all.Any ideas?(Rockman aurem by the way)

Mark W
Glad to hear you got your frame that quick, benefits of knowing Kenny, eh? Pretty random that hole's not threaded though, it definitely should be! If you can get away without running a plate for the weekend (if you've got a bashring or something?), maybe give us a call on Monday and we can try and sort something out with it? As Nick said, it'd probably be best not doing too much to it yet in terms of taking powertools to it...
Duncy H
Yeh Kenny was a great help. Just finished building the bike though Just about to put pics up in bike thread. I tapped it out a teeney bit as much as i could but not very well and I think i will have to leave it at that. Might order a bashring in stead on monday from you. Don't have any funds though

craigjames
Just need an end tap, one where there's no tapered end to it, designed for the exact reason, so you can tap closed holes. Any engineering place will be able to do it
