rab shropshire
you could take a little material of your pads, or get a bottomn bracket with a longer axle.
tmusson
I had this problem on my 07 stock czar. As previously said a longer bb would cure it,but you can also take a couple of millimeters of material off your cranks with a grinder without reducing strenght to much
hdmackay
Either,1) Buy pads with a smaller amount of material, or cut your current ones down.2) Get a new BB with a longer axle3) Get shorter cranks maybe. If you ride mod, 160mm cranks and a 127.5mm BB axle should be fine for any amount of pad life. duncan_echo26
Get a longer bb or cut off some pad material.Cutting off part or the cranks doesn't sound like a very good idea to me.
tmusson
Your not cutting it,only slightly filing it down. Cant see it reducing strength much.
duncan_echo26
Your not cutting it,only slightly filing it down. Cant see it reducing strength much.Yes. However I think most people would prefer not to reduce strength at all. Also if its where the pedal goes in that it hits this wouldn't work unless you grinded the pedal axle too which would make the pedal or cranks more likely to strip where the pedal goes in.A longer bb is the best idea. Dannyvd
I had the the same problem with my Kott ms2 frame. The best thing to do is buy longer BB. I didn`t had the change to do so,because my frame broke before I could replace it
bogdan_vtt
I had the the same problem with my Kott ms2 frame. The best thing to do is buy longer BB. I didn`t had the change to do so,because my frame broke before I could replace itwoow, that`s an outstanding testimony about this situation, i head one like this on my zhi z3...but i resolved it with some used pads (the crank only rubbed my maggye)...thing is when they will die, it will be a dilema for me Edited November 13, 2009 by bogdan_vtt

tonyblythtrials123
id say take a bit of material away, new bb means having to get it put on, and spending more money .
