Maladie
Right, I really cannot be bothered with my Profile anymore, the entire driver is fecked. So I was thinking, as the whole thing has locked, and I can't ride my bike properly because of it,Would I be able to run a front freewheel but still keep my Profile on the rear?I would also like to know, if new cranks, BB, chain and things are needed to run a FFW?Atm I am running a standard Onza crankset, standard Onza BB, and KMC Kool chain.Thankyouu,EDIT: And the FFW I want is this one http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=16 , an Echo TR. ...if that makes any difference whatsoever? MikeCottTrials
I nearly did this but there is inevitably going to be a day when you gap and the pawl/spring stopping it from moving crunches and you end up hurting your face

Maladie
Okay, I understand that, but forgetting what you just said, and imagining that I had a fixed rear hub,Do I need a new pair of cranks to run a FFW on my bike?If so, I was thinking these: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...category_id=514 ? weirdoku
As long as your cranks has threads you can run a FFW, I can't remember if yours had any though. Not the best idea to keep the profile on the rear, it might suddenly become unlocked and you'll loose your face. I have the standard Onza square taper BB atm I think ..Not the best idea to keep the profile on the rear, it might suddenly become unlocked and you'll loose your face.Yeah, I agree with you there actually ..but that means another financial kick in the teeth, because I would want to buy a whole new wheel instead of just a fixed hub. Other option was to stick the FW onto the rear hub but you can't do that either. So yeah if you want FFW setup, new cranks, rear hub and a FW of course. Chain should be fine. Because they only like they're own bits on they're own stuffs? And sounds expensive, but I guess I could still get some half decent bits that won't break too easily for quite cheap? And if the chain is fine I guess that's one good thing, but what about the BB? Will that need to be replaced because i'm replacing cranks?Cheers,
Duncy H
The bb sould be ok, unles you are planning to run a bashring as well as the freewheel on the cranks in which case it would need to be a wider bb. Whip it out and it should say what width it is
Laurence--Trials
If i were you i wouldnt get a FFW because you have to replace them every 2-3-4 months wich starts to add up after a while.. Just trust me.

I'm sure there's second hand bits you could pick out in the For Sale section.Umm BB length.... I run a 128mm on mine. I didn't have a bashring at first and my chain line was out of line and ended up cutting into my frame. So if your chain line is too far away from the frame, you might need to put spacers between the crank and FW, or a bashring. Or get a shorter BB, which ever method is cheapest. If i were you i wouldnt get a FFW because you have to replace them every 2-3-4 months wich starts to add up after a while.. Just trust me.LOL. I've serviced my FW once this whole year, it's still working. Edited October 30, 2009 by weirdoku

Maladie
Eno ***!If I had £84 I would buy a new driver for my hub mate. The Echo ones are only £38, and i've heard some pretty good feedback from them in the past.(P.S) That was meant to be: 'Eno F T W' , right?
