Black&Whyte
I've picked up my new 4play from the shop. I'm very disappointed in it. It feels horrible; I mean aweful. Is it bike you have to learn and get used to? Or is someone going to have to make me an offer?

Luke Rainbird
Descriptive, nice. What is it you don't like about it? Whilst they're not for everyone, I'd put money on the setup being the main root of your issues
Black&Whyte
I love 4play.It my seem a daft question to you but have you always loved it, or did it take some getting used to? See where I am going?Descriptive, nice. What is it you don't like about it? Whilst they're not for everyone, I'd put money on the setup being the main root of your issuesGood point. I really dont feel like fetching it out again to identify the issues I have with it. I'm very fed up. Think I'll go for a run and cheer my self up again. Perhaps then I might be in a better frame of mind to start looking at the positives.Thank you.
Luke Rainbird
Go for it, clear heads are a winner. When you get back, throw up a spec list and (if possible) a picture or two. What bike did you come from? Your info says you ride mod, which would be pretty different and it could be that that's causing you some grief? MrLongboard
I Felt very much the same after getting on my new bike last week, i'd been off a bike for years and i was gutted when i rode it and everything felt wrong, i hated it.Ive now spent a week adjusting this and that and swapping parts ( i know thats difficult if funds dont allow) and now i love how my bike feels (altho its only a diamond back tekiya frame, desperately want something better already!!) Speaking to other riders as well just to get hints and tips, things like bar and stem combo and gearing choicestick with it and dont expect to much to soon, that was my mistake ... plenty of time to of time to get it right. Mark W
Stuff like stem height (i.e. putting spacers under your stem/taking spacers out), bar angle and tyre pressure make a massive difference to how a bike rides, so until you've tried tweaking all of those to get the feel you want, don't write it off yet! In my experience, 24's ride a lot better with a shorter stem for streetier stuff, so if worse comes to worse you could always try and grab a new short stem from somewhere to try and alter the feel of it? But like I said, keep trying different setups - it takes a bit of time to make your bike your bike.

Mark W
Stan's got the Onza 85mmx20° stem with some Rockman risers on his Echo 24 and it feels amazing. Super good for BMXy stuff - words can't even describe it. Rossi got some on his new Inspired too and that felt great too. Definitely recommend that setup. ibs_m
I'll buy if you to sell it for a good price, I'll come collect as your close to leicester. That would be the quick fix, otherwise everything others have suggested should sort it.Ibs
Mr Bob
Youll love it eventually, even the angle of the bars, height of the brake levers and what grips your using can make a hell of a difference!

Skoze
As above! I've fallen in and out of love with my Leeson ever since i've had it, just by changing things and tweaking stuff, keep playing 'til you find what's right - it's what i did with mine 'til i got it perfect. It's not going to be right straight out of the box, nothing is. You gotta find what's right for you.
jambo
I`m going through the same pain with my Curtis at the minute, have a drawer full of stems and bars. Still cant make up my mind longer stem so its better on the back wheel or shorter stem so it bunny hops and spins like a hurricane, i change my mind every day. Iv loved the inspireds with a high front end and 90mm stem with risers tilted back to give it a streetier feel, personal choice.
JT!
Lat time i rode a 24" it just felt nothing like a trials bike, at the end of the day they're half way towards bmx's, so you shouldn't be expecting for it to feel the same as a trials bike. I think that what a lot of people are doing these days are getting pissed that they can't ride street on their mods and think buying a 24" will be best of both worlds, where as in reality is more half of one world and half of the other. Black&Whyte
Good News. After a few hours in the park, the bike has been promoted from my shed, where my unwanted and broken bikes tend to see out their days, to my office, where they distract me from my work at regular intervals. It's in from the cold in more ways than one. Thanks all, I'm really getting used to it and enjoying being on it. As some of you said, ten minutes with an allen key has been time well spent.
