Whats It Worth?

Hi all, i'm new here.

Need some advice please

Am looking to get back into going out riding again after a fair few years out.

A friend of mine has a saracen x-ile team m.a.d edition that has not had much use and is in very good condition. Its the type of geomatory i'm after.

It is a fair age now, I guess its around a 2003-2004 model.

The problem is that we dont know what its worth, I dont want to spend over the odds and also dont want to give him less than its worth. He gave £600 new for it back in the day.

He guesses around £100

Can some of you a bit more clued up with trials/street bikes help me out

What would be a fair price?

100-150 would seem fair depending on what components it has. Brakes and rear hub are two of the biggest deciding factors.

I have not been to see the bike yet, but i know he has kept it standard.

If i remember correctly it has cable discs front and back, and the rear hub has 6 gears, couldnt say what make.

I cant seem to find any info' on the web about them to guide me.

Hopefully going to see it one night soon.

Just brought my old saracen mad 2003 back after it being away for a number of years i paid 170 for the bike. As for parts it had maggies (front) hope mini (rear) halo combat wheels so any thing under 200 sounds a steal to me just keep a good eye on the frame for cracks and it will be all good.Not to sure on the geo of the frame though sorry.
