terry26rims
I have HS11's on my bike. I bought a rim brake mag service kit to bleed my brakes, no problems.I went dirt jumping today(silly idea on a trials bike) and came off, snapping my front hose.Stripping out the old hose found the olives in my kit don't appear EXACTLY the same as the one on old hose. How do i replace my hose without spending any more money?
Ben John-Hynes
They're compression olives, meaning they're only effective when they've been tightened/compressed. What you need to do is cut the hose just below the old olive, slide the new one onto the hose after you've put the shroud nut on, and tighten everything as normal. Bang, job done. duncan_echo26
Do the new olives fit on to the hose?If they do, depending on where the hose is snapped, you just have to cut off the old olive, put the new one on and tighten the shroud nut.I think... terry26rims
I've just read the FaQ and presume when screwing it into the caliper it sorts it's self out. Tai only had like 10inch of hose so i'm making a new hose up. Pretty sure i know what i'm doing now. Ta
