Welding On Magura Mounts On 221 Kamel

I think the kamel sebastien h was riding was a proto with maggie mounts

don't think he weld it himself

but I m not sure

That wasn't the prototype made my Monty, he arranged rim brakes by himself. It seems that it's possible and works fine. Haven't heard that he had any problems.

I had an idea of switching to magura because I dont have enough power...((((

Does anyone know how Hoffman did it and will it work or not?

Right what he done was brought a Monty booster and welded that on first then he has the brake clamps on the booster and puts a bolt through the clamps and puts a nut on the bottom of the booster job done (Y)

didnt you have new mounts welded to your onza t-riad ryan ?

I really wouldn't bother, the frames aren't the strongest as it is and with welded area compromised strength wise it won't last very long or you could get it heat treated, which will cost a fair chunk of money. Why not sell it and get a different frame, not the perfect solution but i don't think there is one.
