snoolax
hey guys,http://surlybikes.com/parts/instigator_fork/found a fork that can make my moment geometry right, is this fork too heavy for street and trials?
LEON
Well it's about 40% heavier than your average trials fork, and it's in the worst place to add that much weight, you'll feel height benefits but there will be big weight penalties too, you'll really feel it with forks. snoolax
thanks!damn i guess i will stick to my fatty R or wait for someone to sell their kinften light long.its more important to loose weight at the front than rear right? Luke Rainbird
If you were to run a light front end setup to compensate for the fork, it wouldn't be an issue. Something along the lines of a Mavic on mono, front vee and a light tyre would probably make more than enough difference in terms of weight, and the longer fork will make it ride significantly better too which'll help to make it feel more comfortable too
snoolax
thanks Lukei guess using a non trials fork is not such a good idea.. are there really no companies now that still produces geometry corrected fork for trials/street trials specific?it will be much easier than hopping for someone to sell the kiften long
Luke Rainbird
What would be even easier is if I could have found my old Knifen when I looked earlier Sorry boss
