Alrightt

Got a set of heatsink whites on a smooth anodised rim atm and to be honest its a bit of a dissapointment. So i was planning getting a light - medium grind but was just wondering what there like on a grind? and whats the wear life like?

Cheers guys :D

How long have you left them to bed in? They're meant to be cracy good on anodized rim! Light grind and you're onto a winner though, mate of mine's got yellows(same compound) on a light/medium and it's the most awesome thing I've ever felt!

Had them on a normal smooth rim for a while and i've had them on the anodised rim for almost a month now, not too long i know but the anodising is really disapointing, only took a few rides for the anodising to wear a fair bit. Now its almost all gone haha.

Think i'm going to get a grind now and if that fails then new pads (Y)

I was once at a comp and it was snowing, railing, hailing, thundering and moody as f**k, like seriously the mud was 5 inches deep. Every persons brake i seen was shite! then i heard a brake. I actually could not belive someones brake was still working! So i went to see and ask!

To the point...he had snowies on a grind f**king insane in that weather!

Stay smooth you sleg!

Nah, but they should be fine. Snowies WILL last forever on a smooth rim so they'll be fine on a grind.

Would prefer to stay smooth but my back brake is shit and you know it is :P

I reckon they will work alot better on a grind than they are just now.

Snowies on a grind are amazing, one of the best pads I've used in terms of hold, they just don't slip. Only my old Heatsink Reds and Koxx Browns have held this well.

Definatly put a nice deep grind on, as they work amazingly in the wet too..

If you wanna stay smooth, clean your rim PROPERLY, sand your pads a bit, set the pads up perfectly, bleed your brake. WILL sort it! :)

Pads were sanded not too long ago, its set up decent and it was bled not that long ago and the bleed feels nice and quick. I'm quite scared to clean the rim with white spirit though cause it might take off the little anodizing i have left and its coming up to winter so i think i'll just go grind ;)

If your going to clean ur rim then dont use white spirit as it does have a small amount of oil in it, you can use paint thinner on anodizing but make sure that it is anodized and not paint.

Pretty sure paint thinners are oil based aswell...

Also you can use paint thinners on powder coated paint to clean/polish it up. Don't use it on laquer though, use petrol for that. (Y)

Definately a grind mate! Two of my mates have had them on smooth and they've been awful.

A different two have had them on a grind and they have been AWESOME!

i had mine on deep grind once and they worked but aint as good as they were on a light grind and on my smooth rim they hold the best but very sqeeky lmao
