Heatsink Vee Pads

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!, I am looking for new rear Vee pads. I just saw that heatsink had new ones, but which colour, shall I choose?

I run a ground rim, but I don't grind it that often, so most of the time, it's a pretty worn grind.

I want a solid rear brake with a nice firm lever feel!

So please help...

My yellows on a medium grind are phenomenal, consistantly good braking wet or dry :)

Im running a dx32 which holds a grind exceptionally well, Ive only needed to refresh it twice in the last 12 months. When the grind dulls off it becomes instantly noticeable because the hold isnt as good, however my frame is very flexy (titanium) so the performance on a dull grind may be better with a stiffer frame.

There are reports of the yellows being excellent on smooth rims aswell, I believe damonW uses them on the back.

just to help anyone looking at buying a pair o heatsink vees, i got some last week, i can't get over how good they are! they're loud and grabby with so much hold! i was tapping a wall that my disc brake (200mm bb7) would slip out backwards on me, these blocks gave a honk and held it there :D well impresed! i'm 16 stone so they really get tested when i'm riding :P
