the threading has gone on my rear hub so the sprocket just spins around when i pedal. I would obvisouly like this problem fixed as im not sure if anyone knows but it can be pretty hard to ride a bike when pedalling wont move you forward lol. im a complete tool fail i cant tell a spanner from a hammer but would like to try and fix this myself and was wondering what sort of tools i will need. Also i need to replace the rear hub aswell and i have about £100 to spend including tools and i want a decent hub so if someone could steer me in the right direction would be appreciated.

thx!

What hub is it? If it's fixed (steel sprocket threaded onto the body itself with a freewheel on the cranks) you're pretty much screwed(!) and the only real option is to buy a new hub.

Yeah its fixed at the bach wth the freewheel at the front. Thanks for being blunt with me i had a feeling that would be the case nut could you suggest another hub that would possible last longer. The one i have at the moment is a onza one but im unsure whitch one but i think it was about £30 brand new and at the moment i have give or take around £100 to spend

thx.
