trials_pimp
Who makes a good reliable cable brake lever these days?Ive had my XTR Lever for about 9 years, and it snapped during a demo recently.I would love to get another, but cant find one anywhere that doesnt cost a fortune. These levers are damn good, but seem to be super expencive at the moment. So I ask, who else makes a good brake lever? Im running a BB7 if it makea the difference.Oh, and if there are any white ones that would be nice, just to keep the colour scheme. N.Wood
XTR was the best I've ever had, all my Avids went floppy at the lever pivot. The new XTs are pretty much identical to the older XTRs.
ogre
sd7 levers seem prety good, mine are 18 months old and the bushing has gone a bit so they're a little wobbly but they perform fine and then feel nice
LukasMcNeal
I agree sd7 levers are pretty good. I'm using an sd7 with a front bb7.

laurent
Odyssey Linear slick are the way to go!he's talking about the lever i think, not the cable....even if odyssey linear slick are good! With the bb7: avid sd7 is just perfect.Just one complaint: the "axle" of the lever which will take some wobble. But very good for the price! Canardweb
WOOOOPS! SOrry, well Avid SD7 are really good! Don't go for the sl though, they are expensive for the weight! SD7 are sooooooooooooo cheap!
sstein
Avids are amazing, adjustable and quite cheap, but they do all develop a bit of wobble. If like most people that does not really bother you I would say to get some of them!
trials_pimp
How long does it take for them to start wobbling?I could see the wobble really anoying me, specialy as im used to the XTR that never suffered from that. Are there any other good levers besides the Avids?
