Should I Buy A New Bike Or A Second Hand Bike?

I have been looking for a while now i have been riding for about 6 months and the bike i have is very old and have grown tired of it. I was wondering if anybody had any advice if i should get a new bike or a second hand bike advice will be much appreciated thanks.

Second hand if you are minted! Unless you're super good, I'd buy as much stuff as you can second hand. I've saved a good few grand over the years buying second hand stuff, in fact on my current stock, the only stuff I bought new are the handlebars, stem, front tyre, disc rotor, rear brake, rear tube and chain, so it's cost me about £750 in total, not £1500+.

you brought more things then me new then only brought tyres which i got off ebay and a chian and pads rest is second hand!
