Use a little bit of tar if you want pads to last longer, cause tar makes pads stick to the rim, result grind is eating up more tar rathen than your pads. Using tar and a grind is very uncommon as they kind of cancel each other out and end up having a crappy brake.If tar is causing your pads to stick to the rim you've got waaaayyyy too much on.Having tar on a grind won't help protect your pads from wear.
