Andrew C
Hi i bought spokes of tarty and they are all different sizes one set are 170, there is a 175 set, a 177 set and a 185 set and was wondering what spoke size goes on what wheel. My front wheel is half radial 32 hole and the back one is 36 hole help please.
N.Wood
At a guess the 170s are non disk side (radial) front and the 175s disk side (non radial) front. The others are rar obviously, see if your rear hub has different sized flanges. If so, the bigger flange = shorter spoke.
aener
I don't mean offense by this - but if you can't figure that out, do you really trust yourself to build a set of wheels? If they're not right, you can get hurt, at the same time as wasting money

RossMcd
Did they not give you a piece of paper telling you which is which? The did for me.
MiuSliS
Sums it up really well Yeah +1 on that. And now i would suggest you to ask a friend of yours, who knows how to lace a wheel, for help!

LolAnd Pleb, I know what it is now.One set is for the radial side on the front wheel, one for the cross sideAnd the back will have two different sizes because you have a disc hub and tha flanges are different sizes.I'm not sure which length goes to which though. Obviously the shortest will be for the radial but shouldn't the longest spokes go on the other side of the front wheel? Because it's a 20" rim instead of 19" so surely the spoke will have further to go?
scary_jeff
I'm sure Tarty will tell you which spokes go where.
PaRtZ
Or you can use a spoke calc and find out (next time)
hdmackay
It's sorted now.I used the 182's for the radial side at the front. The 177's for the disc side at the front 2 cross. The 175's for the drive side rear and the 170's for the disc side rear both 3 cross.Worked mint.
