stoney28
HiI have just finished building a 16" one off trials bike for my 4.5 year old son. He's seen the local lads riding, but I want him to see some bigger and better riding to inspire! Is there a place in Sheffield/North Derbyshire that riders can go to to ride? Thanks for your adviceMartyn
Muel
Yeh there are places literally everywhere up here if you have a car, Stanage Edge is good apparantly, I've never ridden there though, and there's Matlock Quarry which is amazing, Bracken Rocks, Dudwood Farm etc.Best thing is just to keep an eye out for rides around here and tag along. Muel
Thats just about as sick as bikes get! Chainstays look waayyy too long though if you ask me.Rest of it looks spot on though, those cranks are fairly special!
MikeCottTrials
my only concern would be with the brakes. Especially for someone as young as that, vee's might be difficult to pull with one finger when on back wheel.Get some maggies on that thing and he'll be flying around in circles overyour head in a matter of days

totaltrials
Some people ride around Hathersage (Stanage Edge) on the rocks there. I used to go up now and then and saw a few others riding at the time, very good place to go though.Otherwise there's Bracken Rocks down near Matlock where plenty of big competitions are held and a lot of people ride at. Mr Bob
Will have to pop over that side of town and check it out!CheersIts ok, You go to the top of long lane (from loxly to worral) and right on the blind summit theres a right turn (if your going up,before the golf course) Go down there. About 100 yards down theres a car park. Go through these metal gates. Keep on the right hand side of the path alll the way and youll see the rocks and rock path etc(just before a small wood) Its a good spot for all riders! If you follow the path it starts to get some small rocks in it and may be good for your son to start going over and between rocks etc.cheers josh.if you need more info just leave me a comment or a pm! stoney28
Dont know any riding spots near you, but that bike is great, looks alot better than the ones monty/koxx sell !Well thanks! It does seem spot on, but if you have a look here: http://peak-biking.blogspot.com/ you can see how I made it!Its only draw backs are that is a cromalloy frame so weight is a bit high, but if it gets my sun balancing, rocking and doing little roll-offs etc then its doing its job! Thanks for the commentsMartyn
