Dale-Hill
Right as title says. I'm wondering what is the easiest was to make my Echo urban mod rim holes square.I'm not doing it to save weight really, I'm doing to for a change and I like the look off the Trialtech front ones.I vagily remember one of the tarty lot did it? (Only half of the rim though) Dale
Muel
I know a guy who did it, takes forever! I just cut mine out to 25mm with a holesaw, took almost no time at all and looks sweeeeeeet, saved a lot of weight aswell.

Matt Vandart
You are indeed missing something.Get a small rotary file- if you can't get one pm me and I'll send you one. Put it in a pillar drill (small)Wap the speed up.Use like a manual sort of milling machine, you are the servo motors. So you must make the noises of the motors while you do it, tis law. This must be done with the wheel deconstructed.Just because I am blonde and have lush tits doesn't mean I am dumb.Matt Edited September 30, 2009 by Matt Vandart

Jamie East
I used a file on my rim, wouldn't reccommend it unless you've got nothing better to do. Took me about 2 weeks to finish my rim. Using some sort of power tool/drill/dremel must be quicker and easier. This is what it turned out like, didn't really save much weight, but looks pimp Jamie

But was just wondering if there was a quicker/esier way And yeah like I said not really bothered about the weight, I just think it looks pimp. eep803
You can get hole cutters which are used for cutting rectangular holes in metal panels for mounting switches in. They consist of two parts, a square/rectangular hole in a block and asharp edged square/rectangular punch. They are on a threaded rod and when screwed together from either side of the metal will punch out a shape. www.rswww.com do them.
sayshell
isnt the echo sl the same thing as an urban but with square holes? Why not buy that? It might look ugly if you make them into squares if you have a coloured rim because then you will have silver streaks between the rim tape and rim. Its a cool idea though!
