Joe O'Connor
I hope this isnt a repost. But I want to know how long people have been riding for?Im 16 and have been riding just about a year and dont know if I will be getting to old when I get to a respectable level. Ben Swales
I'm nearly 26 and I've been riding about ten years. It gets a bit depressing when I get the results sheets through from comps and I've been beaten (regularly) by people ten years (or more!) younger than me who've been riding for a year or so....I still have fun though, which is want counts to me! Dale-Hill
I'd of had a trials bike for 3 years next month. But riding like 2 and a half years ish.

mr ailsbury
For aboutt 5 years now, after many injuries and having to stop because of other commitments/riding BMX on and off i'm not half as good as I used to be, still enjoy it though when I do go out Edited September 29, 2009 by mr ailsbury

anzo
Are you still buying a new bike?I plan to be riding before christmas I would have had a bike sooner, but had to buy a new car so it all took a back seat. Really can't wait to get into it again.Drove through derby the other night and saw Tunnicliffe and a few others riding around, made me realise how much I miss the whole trials scene. I've met some really good people through trials and I'd love to catch up with them again.

JDâ„¢
I haven't even started yet. This always makes me giggle. I sometimes (and we're talking for milliseconds) feel kinda odd about still writing on a forum for a sport I hardly do any more, but then there's people like you (ok, only you) who have been trolling here for tiiiiime and never even ridden trials. Why?!OT: Been riding since I was 11, 22 now, but I haven't ridden regularly for about 5 years.

Went away with school on a Snowboarding holiday to the Alps and put both my knees out and had to stop trials/football/snowboarding for a long period of time, never really got back into it. I did however think about riding again when I was 16ish, joined up on the forum to try and get motivated again... fruitbat
I rode for about 4 or 5 years, then stopped for the last 4 years (been on a bike once or twice but nowt serious in that time)Really wanna get back into it, but i find myself aiming to do stuff I would have managed without thinking before, and really struggle to do it. Makes me not enjoy it at all, and so so hard to get back into it. 26 now with a wife and daughter, so even harder to get back into it.Frooty Edited September 29, 2009 by fruitbat

Pah, can't be arsed, I'm out (and I mean it literally when I say it, not like your bitchy little one the other night).

Pah, can't be arsed, I'm out (and I mean it literally when I say it, not like your bitchy little one the other night).Give it a rest JD, your so f**king miserable. You go on about me jumping to conclusions and being bitchy all the time but your the worst of the lot ! Just because I tried it for a long time doesn't mean I'm any good, what I can do on a bike is hardly "trials" ! Anybody who's competent on a MTB should be able to kick hop/trackstand/sidehop, and thats about the limit of what I can do. I never even had a trials bike, I had a Pashley that I bought for XC !!!You don't know my life story JD, so you wouldn't know I went to a fortnightly boarding school and only got a chance to ride on every other Friday afternoon when I got home from school. But thats ok, I forgive you because I know your a miserable f**ker and enjoy running everybody else down without knowing the facts.
