has anyone told him its not the bike its the rider?

In thee nicest of ways will you also post a topic if you kill this rim?

could go with the name, how to cane the hell out of a monty 19 rim ! and have pics of your -83 monty rim and on the picture have an arrow and writing to show where its f**ked?

again thats all if it dosent last but I feel for how much you have saved on this it seems pointless and Im all for making your bike lighter but as the first thing I said its all about the rider

YOU PUT ANY ONE OF US ON THIS FORUM ON A ROCKMAN WITH A MONTY RIM THEN LET THEM THEN GO ON YOUR BIKE WITH YOUR LIGHTER RIM. there not exactly going to ride better, if anything they would be shit scared of backhopping incase the rim died.

could have just simmply drilled your innertubes, cut down your bb and taken one side of your forks off.

Haha! Classic case of TGS rider not having a clue.

If the bike is lighter it's easier to ride, you go bigger easier because you can move the bike round more easily and you tire far less quickly because it takes less effort to move it around!

Obviously if you're a TGS rider, it'd be a f**king stupid thing to do, but if you're a smooth natty or comp rider, why not? There are only plus points, you don't need the bike to be strong, you need it to be light, so you'd be daft not to! Unless you regularly destroy rims that is.

can I ask you when did living up north make someone a tgs rider, so as far as Im aware here its not me who has no clue, I put zhi rims on my ice build to make it lighter,

I ride natty as much as I can lmfao adingham moorsides just out side my window so stop being a noob and reconing that every rider up north is a f**king tgs rider theres only ben lazenby, mat smith, little sam, phill monks, adam h, swindle, willis and some wanna bee's that are tgs riders so WTF! hate it when you all bost on about things like that f**k me I ride trials who gives a danm why call it a name? and im pretty sure from being a natty rider that if I drilled the f**k out of my rim it wouldent last all but a month or hard riding.

my bikes light enough as it is I really cant see the point in thee whole thing but thats just me, being an "classic case of a f**king stupid" member of this forum posting what I think (Y)

seen as im not allowed to do so ill leave it at that.

and as much as I see the good point and bad points to this as a member of this forum Im choosing to post my view as pointless as 83 grams isnt going to make my bike ride lighter and isnt going to make me last ten mins longer on the bike.

sorry but not for me, however it looks nice

I'm from the North....

I never said you were f**king stupid either, and I don't think that all northern riders are TGS riders, since I know a lot of riders up here and very few are TGS riders!

I assumed you were a TGS rider because I thought you were Ben Lazenby? And your post suggested you thought that having a light bike was a stupid thing to do because you couldn't bash it like a TGS rider would.

My post came across more aggressive than I meant, I'm sorry. I was simply trying to say that in my opinion, loosing 83 grams off the rear wheel makes a big difference, especially on a Mod as I've done it several times.

I would rather ride natty anyday lol theres no natty within a decent distance of me :( and my bike is more natty set up :turned:

wow good job! 83g is quite a lot out of a mod rear rim. i imagine doing this on a stock rim will save much more. luckily i already have a try all hole single wall rim, so i dont need to go through the trouble. i think the rim should be strong enough. i've been on single walled rims with huge holes for a while, and no problems yet:)
