SCOTTY___
If its a decent chain tool, it will be fine.Ive broke around 4 chain tools on KHE Chains, but they were shitty ones.
PaRtZ
I STRONGLY recommend buying a new, beefy, burly chain tool for those bad boys...I broke 3 moderately strong chain tools with my KHE... but I was a bit heavy handed back then. It is possible to split the chain with normal tools, but its alot easier and safer to get a bigger one!The Park Tool CT7 was one I was looking at before I moved to stock... duncan_echo26
I broke a chain tool trying to split a KMC Kool chain but it was a rubbish one on a multi tool.I borrowed a better one from a friend and it worked fine.
Revolver
If the chain tool isn't wank, and when you put it in, the pin of the tool actually presses on the pin in the chain, it will work.

Andrex
I had the same problem, so I just used an angle grinder on it.... simple and fast
