I have two questions, but neither is too big to have its own topic.

Firstly, and mainly, what was the main video which inspired you to start trials riding, or the particular rider who got you interested? Any links would be greatly appreciated. The one which I first saw what the Danny Mac vid

my mate posted on facebook, and that was got me into it properly, though I'd thought it looked good before then :P I'm also looking for vids which may make friends of mine interested enough to learn with me.

Secondly, is anyone on here local to where I live. I live in Orpington on the Southeastern fringes of London, but I'd be willing to travel about a bit to meet people who ride...anyone?

Thanks much :D

Tom

for me it was danny mac, we are both from the Isle Of Skye. it was ages ago when he wasnt like he is now and i saw him do gap jumps and drop offs. seeing someone do that was just like an instant THATS FOR ME!!! started comps on skye and the rest is history.

i live in east london by the way. layton/stratford are. have to ride quite far often to ride but its the norm in london. i know the regular london riders and some sick spots so lets ride man.

when did you start?

just looked how far you are. kinda far but its cool. i will be riding as soon as i replace my cracked rim.

To hoots man: I'm yet to start, I've done a few tiny things on mountain bikes, but now I've trashed that I'm gonna get a proper bike, but when I do, I'm sure you'd be kind enough to teach me stuff yeah? :P or I'll just amble along to a jam or something :P

And to N.Wood: I think I had fatpants as an msn contact, but he annoyed me by insulting freerunning :P where do you live now then? And it's easier to get a bus to W Wickham :P

Aww thanks :) how communal and nice of you :) yeah apaz you're only twenty mins up the road from me (says my mum :P)

And yeah I'm looking at a T-Bird, the Onza site says it's good to learn on, and my cousin who used to do trials says it's alright to learn on, and he works in a bike shop too, so I'll trust him :P and my father owes me a birthday present, and my sister, so I should get it soon :P
