Right, so just seeing what i could do to loose abit of weight, wanting to loose about 1.5kgs, my bike weighs 10.2kg atm.

Gu 06 long

echo lites

echo team stem

zoo bars

front sd7 vee

rear 05 magura

fsa headset

echo urban front rim on echo hub

old monty tyre

gu cranks + atomz bash + welgo v8 pedals

truvative bb

king on dx32

creepy tyre

not wanting to change anything what will effect the proformance of the bike, and not loose much strength, obviously a lighter front wheel will be good, but i dont want to get a really light rear rim.

Echo SL headset?

Echo SL hub and dremel the rim to make it single walled?

Wellgo/DMR magnesium pedals (with ti axles, ebay...)

FSA Platinum bb?

Hope I've helped :)

they are too much money for what it is to be honest, i like the sound of the single wall front rim, might do that sometime.

need a new headset soon anyway.

and my bb is pretty much the heavyest you can get, along with my cranks lol!

You'll have to see what the bidding goes like, if it doesn't go mad, it's worth it for the axles alone.........:P

You thought about changing rim tape, assorted ti bolts etc?

Here, Mat.

Very dissapointed! Haha. Wanting to make your bike lighter.

Haha. Your bike is like the most strong/ TGSy bike i've ever seen! Haha. You better not go all lightweight!

Anyway, as for losing weight... Have you tried taking off your dust caps?

lmao still going to be riding street, just want it abit easyer on the ol arms :P

My Gu had a fair few mods on it to save some weight and it was fine. Having said that, i didn't find the time it took was actually worth the effort, BB shell had a square milled out, headtube cutout and a few Holes along some of the Gussetings but nothing major.

I removed the inner bits on my pedals aswell, saved a grand total of about 20 grams :(

I personally think buying lighter parts is a better alternative to drills/dremmels etc...
