Mikey-uk
Heya guys, a few weeks ago my lever blade on the Marta lever snapped, at £45 for the pair (not sold singly) not including labour this is a very bad path for me to take. I'm wondering if i could just replace the marta lever with a louise or julie??Links Julie
Jack_M
Did you snap just the lever blade or the whole brake lever? Is the price of 45 pounds for 2 blades or 2 levers? In regards to replacing a marta with a julie, have a look on the magura website which lists piston sizes and fluid types. If they are the same it *should* work. Also might want to check if the hose fittings are the same.

dandadude
I know this dosn't directly help you but have you tried ringing/e-mailing tartybikes or chain reaction cycles? Someone at one of those will probably know.Cheers
psycholist
A full Louise lever should fit and work correctly (I'd guess the lever blades are not interchangeable), Julie levers have a bigger piston AFAIK, though I think the most recent version of the Julie uses high pressure hose, so it may now have a compatible piston size. Try asking on the Magura forum at www.magura.de to be certain and also see if you can order the specific parts you want - Magura can be quite good for shipping individual spares not available from shops if you contact them directly.
