jambo
oh that would be f**king ace how thick is the wall of the post?
Skoze
Not very thick at all, i had to machine mine down a bit to fit in my seat-tube. Only took a tiny bit off, seems pretty thin now though. Wouldn't want to take the amount you need off to get it down to 22mm though, could see there being a distinct lack of metal by the end of it! Revolver
You could... cut the pivotal part off, machine it down to fit, and weld it to a 22mm piece of decent tube of the same metal.
CurtisRider
little kids bikes use that size i think. Turning down prob wont happen as most of those bmx posts are thin to be light as f**k. Personally id get some 22mm tube and try and 'machine' a pivotal interface with a grinder on a bit of plate, then get it welded to the tube-sorted. Mark W
It's 1.6mm off effectively, which might be alright. The only problem is is that the inside of a typical BMX pivotal (And probably the over-sized MTB ones too?) is ovalised, so at the front and rear it should be plenty thick enough, but the sides might not be. The only other option is to just use a typical kids bike seatpost - the old school ones with a seperate bolt-up clamp. You could probably bodge a Pivotal head onto one of those posts if you've got a welding enabled friend? It's all a bit sketchy though...
