Magura Lever 2004

See the bulgy bit in the blade, where the bolt would protrude if you pushed it down far enough? Thats where it goes. Between the tpa bodge bolt, and the thing labelled "this --->"

What so that the flat part is facing upwards towards the TPA and 'this' is inbetween the other parts of it?

I tried that and then the lever doesn't go back up

Thanks

thats why your tpa doesnt work no more. that bit has sheered off. just take that bit out and whack the bolt in

Wait, I still can't get it. Do you mean that the original TPA screwed into the top of the black thing that fell out?

Before I tried bleeding it the bodged TPA worked fine

Thanks

The two red things that I circled should be one piece. They are not in your case, because the whole thing broke apart.

You need a new M5 bolt if I am not mistaken, and cut the head with a saw so that it has a hole like part #3.

Bolt #1 should be in place #2 I think...I mean there should be a bolt in #2 and if you have another bolt like in #1 you should use it for the purpose I said above.

Forget about those two little pieces that I wrote are broken. They won't do you any good anymore.

Hope this helps.

Blaze, part number 2 as you've put it is NOT broken, its simply a sleeve for the bolt to pass through and also keeps the pivoting plunger bit (number 2 in mine :P) in place. When you come to put the lever back in, put it in place roughly, then slot the sleeve though the blade to keep the pivoting bit in place, then slide a bolt all the way through

That should help

As Ash said, your tpa bit has sheared off, a common fault, so now you need to find a long m5(??) magura bolt to screw all the way in, instead of using the red TPA dial. Simply pull the red dial off, locate the bit with the thread inside it, in the lever and then start screwing the bolt in. This will replace the black bit thats broken off, but atleast you know now where it goes for future reference :P

I do have the M5 bolt to replace the broken TPA, and I've used it for about a month successfully. It was when I was bleeding it the little black thing that I circled fell out. And I can't seem to get it back.

Thanks for your help, hopefully I'll get it this time round :)
