Hot Pink Base Ta26

Now then everyone. I'm a new boy on the forum and i'm after some opinions.

I was into trials for many years but, for various reasons, stopped riding about 5 years ago. Over the last year or so i've been getting back into general mountain biking and been fooling around the streets and getting the bug again for trials. so, i thought lets get a more suitable bike for trials and have some fun with it.

I've ended up buying a second hand hot pink Base TA26 for very cheap off a friend which is in very good condition with the intention of spraying the frame because, well, its pink!! However, i got my hands on it yesterday and i've stripped it down ready for respraying and now i've taken a bit of a shine to the colour and don't know whether to spray it or not.

So, i was wondering what the general opinion is for a pink Base/bike? I'm starting to like it as it is but i'm not sure whether i should stick with my original plan and spray it or stay with it as pink?! I'm just not sure if i'm cool enough or good enough to ride a pink bike! :giggle:

Any thoughts?

It's a good colour, and it's not feminine on a bike, just daring (Y)

As long as it's a bright pink and not slightly purple or sparkely :P otherwise that might be a neg.

Post pictures?

And which part of North Yorkshire you from?

Cheers mate, i think i'm wanting people to say pink is ok which is pathetic but i've never owned anything pink before.

Not got any pictures as yet but i'll try taking some soon.

The ultimate place that is Northallerton! Possibly one of the most boring places on the planet i dare say!

Not many, if any, pink production trials frames out there. So they're a rare find. Keep it, get all black parts and just have the pink frame. would look amazing!

The handlebars and stem are white at the minute which looks ok but i'm thinking along the same lines as you and think black would look better. The forks are black so it'd make sense i reckon.

Not familiar with those lads but i've been out the seen for a while so probably seen them around without directly knowing them if you know what i mean.

Well, i've bottled it and ended up getting it sprayed. For some reason i just couldn't totally get on board with the pink so i've had it sprayed. It still needs a fair few finishing touches such as a different seat and a couple of other things but otherwise i'm fairly pleased with my first attempt at putting a bike together in such a long time. I'm sure there's plenty better but it's a start back in to the swing of things.
