JT!
When i was riding with a smooth rim zoo pads were the only ones i was happy with, and I'd used quite a few all without a grind.

JT!
Oh sorry, i guess they've stopped selling them. Crazy! They are similar to the Echo 07 pads on tartybikes, but i can't vouch for those.I've got like 6 brand new pairs at home too!
3dd
They are great pads for smooth if you run them on the front, not realy for back brake. If you want rear pads I think Croco reds? One of the guys I ride with says it works well. Edited September 11, 2009 by 3dd

3dd
I have seen CRMs slip quite a few times on smooth of others people bikes. I had it on the front thought, was very sharp and noisy!
Warbs
Yes it is for the rear brake!!They will be fitted in to Heatsink CNC backings.
3dd
I dont understand why some people still running smooth rims in trials at least on the back. Grind it and get phat pads or LGMs, bite and hold is so much better!

When i ground my rim all it did was make the brake really slippy and the pads wore down stupidly quickly, also I've never ridden a bike with a grind that I thought was anywhere near a decent working brake. Matt Vandart
I use clear pads on a smooth rim on the front and it works f**kin ace.Would probably work well on the back, however in the rain is a different matter.I use Tnn with a shit grind that may as well be smooth on the back. It's because my ZHI rim just will not hold a grind, when freshly ground it works awesomely but when the grind is dead, it is pretty good too.Matt
Sam Moss
Yellow tnn pads are awsome with the metal backing, they have to be the best rim brakes i have ever felt.

craigjames
PLaz crm's or Onza citrus yellow pad. The citrus pads seem identical to plaz compundBen Johnson ran coust pads on a smooth rim but had to run them with a bit of tar and they were pretty damn good to be honest. Muel
Citrus pads are useless on a smooth rim lol, my brother tried it and they were worse than koolstops, that was on a brushed sidewall though, dunno what they'd be like on anodised.I've got snowies on a seriously light grind on my mod, they're completely mad, definately recommend them.
